Cambrian Learning Trust (formerly Faringdon Learning Trust) and The Vale Academy Trust have now merged, creating a Trust consisting of four secondary schools and 14 primary schools in the South Oxfordshire area. A number of ‘Alliance Schools’ have also been working with Cambrian Learning Trust for some time. 

The Trust has emerged from a merger of equals and has a simple but powerful vision: ‘to be a beacon of excellence, guided by four core values – Unity, Integrity, Kindness, and Ambition.  

Richard Evans, CEO of the new Cambrian Learning Trust said:

For the pupils, there will be many opportunities, ranging from a vast array of enrichment activities to greater funding for their school’s site and improvements to their surroundings. 

Staff working for the new Trust will benefit from increased training and development opportunities, and this enhanced offer will benefit recruitment and retention across our schools. 

As a larger trust, the merger brings about increased capacity within the central team to support schools both educationally and operationally. Efficiencies in budgeting will also enable more teachers and staff to be employed, bringing even greater support for the children and young people in our care."
