Watchfield Primary School is proud to announce that it has been awarded the National Nurturing Schools Award by nurtureuk, following a rigorous assessment process last week. The award recognises the school’s unwavering commitment to nurturing the wellbeing and development of its pupils through a whole-school approach.
The National Nurturing Schools Award is a prestigious accolade that acknowledges schools that have successfully embedded a nurturing culture and ethos, placing emotional wellbeing and mental health at the heart of learning.
Deputy Headteacher Lisa Willison expressed her pride in the achievement, saying:
“We are absolutely delighted to receive the National Nurturing Schools Award. This recognition reflects the incredible dedication of our staff, the support of our families, and most importantly, the resilience and kindness of our children. At Watchfield, we truly believe that children learn best when they feel safe, valued, and understood. Nurture is at the heart of everything we do, and this award celebrates the positive culture we’ve worked so hard to build together.”
The award is a significant milestone for the school, reinforcing its role as a community where children’s emotional needs are supported alongside their academic progress.
