King Alfred’s Academy were delighted to congratulate their Year 11 class of 2025 who achieved a pleasing set of results once more. Students demonstrated commitment, hard-work and resilience, leading to success across a broad curriculum after five years of hard work.
As a result of their efforts, 55% of our cohort have achieved at least 5 GCSE or BTEC qualifications including English and Maths at grade 4 or equivalent.
Nearly two thirds achieved a pass in both GCSE English and Maths – this ‘basics measure’ is crucial in terms of supporting access into further education and careers. An impressive 20% of all examination entries resulted in a grade 7 or better, 50% in a grade 5 or better and 67% of all entries culminated in a grade 4 or better.
Particular mention goes to:
Headteacher, Jonathan Smart, commented “As a school we are very satisfied with this set of results. These GSCE and BTEC outcomes match the results achieved by last year’s cohort. Each of our students should be enormously proud of the application and hard work demonstrated in achieving these outcomes. It is particularly pleasing that these results will allow the vast majority of our students to take the next step in their education or chosen career. I’d also like to pay tribute to the staff of King Alfred’s Academy who have worked tirelessly to support our students throughout their time at the school.”
A 'Very Well Done' to all our Year 11 students!
