Faringdon Community College students are celebrating their Religious Education GCSE accomplishment, having been awarded a grade 9 – the highest grade.
Head of Religious Education – Abby Jones – comments, “Sixteen students achieved a grade 9 in RE and of all the students entered for the full course, over 56% were awarded a grade 7 or higher. This phenomenal achievement is made all the more impressive as these students have sat their Religious Education exam a year ahead of their other GCSEs.”
Headteacher – Lisa Barker– joined the celebration and reflects, “These impressive results are a great reward for the engagement and hard work of FCC students, alongside the skill, expectations and ambition of the dedicated staff team.”
Mrs Barker continues, “We are especially proud that the students achieved these results in Year 10. This has given them great confidence as they look forward to future success in their final exams in the summer.”
Applications for a place at Faringdon Community College are open to current Year 6 students until 31 October 2025.
