The Elms Primary School in Faringdon, part of Cambrian Learning Trust, is celebrating a strong outcome following its latest Ofsted inspection, which took place in May 2025. The school has been rated ‘Good’ in all areas, recognising the significant progress made since becoming a primary school in 2022.
Inspectors praised The Elms as an “inclusive and happy community”, where pupils feel safe, respected and inspired to do their best. The report highlights the school's focus on developing strong values like kindness, resilience and community spirit, as well as recent improvements to the quality of education and behaviour.
Among the key findings, the report notes:

“Pupils expect to achieve well. They have confidence in their abilities and enjoy their learning.”
“There is a strongly collaborative culture among staff, who feel proud to see the difference they are making.”

The Ofsted report also recognises the school’s effective early years provision, its strong focus on reading, and the clear, well-sequenced curriculum now in place across subjects. Leaders and governors were praised for their strategic oversight and support.
